On behalf of the KMTC Board of Directors, I extend a warm welcome to you on the KMTC website.

This interactive platform stands as a testament to our dedicated efforts in staying connected with the world and, most importantly, with the College’s stakeholders.

KMTC plays a pivotal role in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda, the African Union agenda 2063, the Bottom up Economic Transformation (BETA) agenda, and the Kenya Vision 2030, specifically focusing on the social pillar, where Education and Health are recognized as fundamental welfare projects. The College is entrusted with the vital task of training health professionals to bridge the human resource gaps in the health sector.

The KMTC Board has charted a clear course to guide the College towards its vision of becoming “a globally competitive institution for training human resource for health.” KMTC remains the leading mid-level health training institution in the region and beyond.

As we approach our pre-centennial celebration, the College stands on the brink of significant milestones. With a current student population of 62,807 (as at July 2023), KMTC graduated 20,695 students in its 92nd graduation ceremony held on December 7, 2023.

Our commitment to the country’s health remains resolute. We are firm in our dedication to producing highly skilled healthcare professionals who will continue to make substantial contributions to the evolving healthcare landscape in Kenya and beyond. Our goal aligns with the government’s ongoing effort to achieve Universal Health Coverage for all Kenyans, ensuring a healthier and brighter future for our nation.

Continually, the Board is developing policies to bolster internal processes, propelling the College towards enhanced training of health professionals. This effort is integral in filling the gaps in the health sector, aligning with the President’s vision of Universal Health Coverage.

We are deeply committed to the Constitutional right to the highest attainable standards of health, a goal achievable only through the availability of highly trained medical personnel. To realize this, the Board works closely with partners to strengthen collaborations in support of teaching and learning. This transformative agenda has led to the establishment of 74 campuses across the country, providing increased training opportunities for our students.

The Board’s unwavering dedication to excellence remains the driving force behind our efforts to enhance the College’s service delivery. We aim to make a significant contribution to the socio-economic growth of our country and the global community. Pursuing excellence in training healthcare professionals is our steadfast commitment, and we invite you to be part of this transformative journey.
