Kabarnet Campus

Overview

KMTC Kabarnet dates back to 1990 when it was established as a KMTC campus at the then Baringo District Development Institute now Kenya School of Government (KSG).

The college is located in Kabarnet town, next to Baringo county Referral Hospital. The campus is a few kilometers from the scenic Kerio Valley and Lakes Baringo and Bogoria.

Courses Offered

The following courses are offered at the campus:

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Nursing
  • Certificate in Enrolled Community Nursing (ECN)
  • Diploma in Environmental Health Science
  • Certificate in Environmental Health Sciences
  • Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics

Future plans

  • Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics (Upgrading starting September 2018)

Sports

KMTC Kabarnet is proud of her exemplary performance in athletics and sports. Sports activities available at the campus include athletics, volleyball, football, basketball, rugby, netball, darts, table tennis, chess, scramble and badminton.

The campus is a shining example of how games can enrich a student’s academic performance.

Staff — both lecturers and supportive staff — manages sports, ensuring that our students are developed physically and academically as health professionals.
