The Campus was established and officially opened on 2nd August, 2015. The Campus infrastructure is majorly funded by Aldai Constituency Development Fund. The Campus occupies 5 Acres of land.
The Campus is located in the North Rift part of Kenya, 55 Kilometers South West of Eldoret town. It is situated within Nandi County, at Kaptumo peri-urban centre next to Kaptumo Subcounty hospital.
The Campus currently offers three programs:
- Certificate in Health records and Information
- Diploma upgrading in Health Records and Information
- Diploma in Community Health Nursing
Clinical experience sites
Our students are trained in the following clinical sites
- Rural experience – Kaptumo sub County Hospital
- Kabiyet Sub County Hospital
- Meteitei Sub County Hospital
- Chepterwai Sub County Hospital
- Kapkangani Sub County Hospital
- District experience – Kapsabet County Referral Hospital
- Nandi Hills County Hospital
- Various county referral Hospitals within the country
The campus has adequate space for the Principal, Deputy Principal, Heads of department, faculty members, finance and human resource personnel. In addition we have a boardroom.
There are four lecture rooms with adequate student chairs. There are eight (8) lecture rooms under construction.
The library has a reading space for sixty students at one sitting with adequate furniture and shelves. The library is manned by a qualified staff and is equipped with current books.
The computer lab has adequate information communication technology (ICT) infrastructure with 25 networked computers. In addition, we have acquired another 50 computers to supplement the number
The campus has a standard skills laboratory equipped as per Kenya Medical Training College, Clinical Officers Council and Nursing Council of Kenya requirements.
There are two hostel blocks, one for male and one for female. The hostels have a total capacity of about 170.
The campus has a partially completed dining hall with a kitchen to offer catering services to students on pay as you eat arrangement supported by public private partnership (PPP).
There are adequate sanitation facilities for staff and students that serve the offices and hostels.
Water and Electricity
There is adequate and reliable supply of safe water and electricity in the campus.
The campus has four staff houses, which have been set aside for heads of department.
The Campus compound is secured with a chain link and gate. The gate is manned 24 hours by a security firm contracted by the campus. Furthermore emergency exits have been provided.
Fire fighting equipment and security lights are available and functional.
There is an Administration Police post situated about 100 meters away from campus who can provide additional security services when need arises.
