Kilifi Medical Training College (formerly hospital Maintenance Training School) started operation in 1987. It was collaboration between the government of Kenya and SIDA. It was offering Certificate in Medical Engineering. The first class had 18 students who were recruited among the workers in various hospitals in the country. Later in March 2007, the 1st class of KRCHN (Diploma) course was introduced. Presently, we have 3 classes of Medical engineering (Cert) and 3 classes of KRCHN (Diploma).
The college is located in Kilifi town, 62km north of Mombasa along the Mombasa-Malindi Highway. It is within the District’s Headquarters and boarders the Kilifi district Hospital at KEMRI. (Kenya Medical Research Institute).
