KMTC Kisumu Campus student emerges second in the 7th National African Organization for Standardization essay writing competition.
Brian Makori, a second-year Medical Imaging Sciences Student at Kisumu Campus, walked away with Kshs 70,000 after emerging second in the 7th National African Organization for Standardization (ARSO) essay writing competition, organized by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).
First and third positions were scooped by Edgar Odongo Ochieng of the University of Nairobi, and Jackson Maina Kariuki of St. Paul’s University, consecutively.
The annual competition aimed at generating and sustaining awareness for standardization
among the youth in Africa.
The competition, held in November last year, attracted some 186 participants from recognized Universities and Colleges across the county.
