The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has held preliminary discussions with Lebenshilfe Austria on possible areas of partnership to support students’ transition from College to the job market.

Speaking when he received the organization’s Vice-President Mr. George Willeit at the KMTC headquarters in Nairobi on January 16, 2023, CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch welcomed the partnership noting that it is in line with the College’s strategy of training for the global market.

“We are excited to be exploring this partnership with you to build our students’ skills and competencies to enhance their marketability in the international job markets,” the CEO said.

On his part, Mr. Willeit expressed his optimism that by working together, the two organizations would be able to develop health professionals fit for practice in the country as well as the global context.

As a way forward, the two organizations agreed to form a technical working group to identify areas of cooperation that will ensure KMTC students benefit from the partnership.
