Faculty of Information Technology and Medical Education

The Faculty of Information and Medical Education Sciences prepares professionals to manage health data effectively and contribute to the field of Health Professions Education. The faculty plays a critical role in supporting healthcare delivery through accurate records management, teaching, and mentorship. 

  1. Health Records and Information Technology: This program trains specialists in managing patient health records, both manual and electronic, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR). The curriculum covers health data classification, electronic health information systems, community diagnosis, research, monitoring and evaluation, emergency medicine, pathology, and the use of ICT in healthcare. Graduates support continuity of care, evaluation of treatment outcomes, health system monitoring, and medico-legal processes.
  2. Health Professions Education: This program equips health professionals to serve as educators, researchers, and mentors in health training institutions. Students gain skills in teaching adults, developing learning materials, assessing learning outcomes, and designing, reviewing, and evaluating health curricula. Graduates work as health professional educators, clinical instructors, curriculum developers, and researchers, bringing innovation and quality to health training and mentorship.
