KMTC ANNOUNCES 22,070 TRAINING SLOTS FOR MARCH 2025 INTAKE

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced 22,070 training slots for the March 2025 intake.

The courses offer aspiring healthcare professionals an opportunity to pursue quality medical education.

In a public notice, CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch urged prospective students to apply, noting that successful applicants will be placed across the College’s 90 campuses to study in 115 programs.

“Of the available slots, 19,570 are for preservice training, while 2,500 are for upgrading and Higher Diploma courses,” he noted.

KMTC provides a robust training experience, with 70 percent practical learning and 30 percent theoretical instruction.

Dr. Oluoch stated that preservice programs are open to Form Four leavers who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) between 2000 and 2024, with applications to be submitted through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).

“Those interested in upgrading programs, Higher Diploma courses, and short courses can apply through the College portal,” he noted.

In response to the increasing demand for its programs, KMTC has expanded training slots in selected campuses to accommodate more students.

The College has also invested in state-of-the-art facilities, including simulation labs, skills labs, and modern training equipment, to enhance hands-on learning.

Beyond academics, students will have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, promoting holistic development and a well-rounded educational experience.
