KMTC Narok Campus Gears Up for March 2024 Student Intake

KMTC Narok Campus is gearing up for its first student intake in March 2024, marking a strategic move to expand training opportunities. The initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on December 14th, 2023, with key roles played by KMTC Board Chairperson, Mr. Joseah K. Cheruiyot, and Narok County Governor, Hon. Patrick Ole Ntuntu.

Mr. Cheruiyot expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort, emphasizing KMTC’s vital role in training health professionals to strengthen Primary Health Care which is the cornerstone for the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Governor Ole Ntuntu pledged support for courses tailored to community needs and announced plans for a committee to enhance preparations and clinical placement sites for KMTC students.

CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch commended Narok Campus as a model and expressed optimism about the positive working relationship with the county, foreseeing enhanced medical training and contributions to UHC goals.

In attendance were Narok County Government Executive Committee Member for Health Mr. Anthony Namunkuk, Chief Officer for Health Ms. Jane Kiok, KMTC Board Directors Eng. Joseph Atonga and Mr. Paul Kaino, Deputy Director Finance, Planning and Administration Ms. Lucy Chebungei, Corporation Secretary Ms. Caroline Muchina, Head of Intergovernmental Relations Dr. Leah Bii, and Kisii Principal Ms. Sarah Koech.
