KMTC Showcases Global Impact During Dutch Royal Visit
The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) reaffirmed its status as a leading institution in healthcare training during the official visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands.
At the Marketplace Forum in Loresho Nairobi held on March 18, 2025, KMTC demonstrated its commitment to hands-on, competency-based training, an approach at the heart of its curriculum. In a symbolic moment, King Willem-Alexander engaged with healthcare partners and took part in a practical demonstration, checking the pulse on a manikin, underscoring the significance of skill-based training.
KMTC was represented by Dr. Wagaki Gicheru, who highlighted the institution’s innovative programs that continue to produce highly skilled healthcare professionals. Accompanying the Dutch monarchs was Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi.
