KMTC Strengthens Alumni Engagement in Community Health
On March 18th, 2025, the College hosted a meeting which brought together the institution’s Management, the Community Health Assistant (CHA) and Community Health Officers (CHO) alumni. The meeting focused on strengthening alumni engagement and fostering collaboration in key areas of mentorship, research, professional growth, and community health outreach.
In his message, CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch who was represented by Dr. Caleb Mutua, emphasized KMTC’s commitment to producing fit-for-purpose health professionals to drive Universal Health Coverage in communities. “Our alumni are a cornerstone of this institution. By strengthening our collaboration, we not only enhance professional development, but also ensure that KMTC continues to produce health professionals who are well-equipped to support UHC,” he stated. He reiterated the College’s commitment to providing platforms that enable alumni to contribute meaningfully to KMTC’s progress.
The KMTC CHA and CHO Network Team Lead, Mr. Kevin Wanjagi, echoed these sentiments, underscoring the importance of formalizing alumni structures to streamline engagement and support initiatives that uplift both graduates and the communities they serve. “This is more than just a network; it is a movement to ensure our alumni continue to be an integral part of the KMTC mission, even beyond their time as students,” he noted.
