PARTNERSHIP WITH BFL INTERNATIONAL INC TO ENHANCE COMMUNITY ORAL HEALTH EDUCATION AND SERVICES AHEAD OF CENTENARY MILESTONE

On January 22, 2025, the College welcomed Ms. Lynelle DeRoo, the Executive Director of Brushforlife (BFL) International Inc. and the reigning Mrs. Universe 2021 & 2022, in a momentous collaboration aimed at transforming oral health education and services in Kenya.

BFL International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting oral hygiene and education, has joined forces with KMTC Teso Campus to host a week-long dental camp. The camp will provide much-needed dental health services and education to the local community, fostering healthier lifestyles and brighter smiles.

During the event, KMTC Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kelly Oluoch, praised the partnership’s transformative potential, highlighting its alignment with KMTC’s mission to enhance healthcare training and services. He further announced plans to expand future initiatives in comprehensive oral health education and research.

Deputy Director Academics Dr. Nyawira Mwangi emphasized the timeliness of this partnership as the College gears up for its centenary celebrations. She reiterated KMTC’s commitment to equipping students with specialized skills to address pressing healthcare needs.

The event was graced by among others, KMTC’s Resource Mobilization Manager Mr. Job Nyakado, Principal of Teso Campus Mr. Daniel Kurui, and BFL International’s Ms. Sarah Pyatich.
