Mosoriot free dental clinic enters the home stretch
The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Mosoriot Campus free dental clinic entered its home stretch today (July 22, 2022), with more than 100 area residents seeking services.
The dental clinic, scheduled to end today at 5 pm, is an initiative of KMTC Mosoriot Campus, in partnership with Kenya Smiles, Moi University Dental School and the Nandi County Government.
Presiding over the official launch on Thursday July 21, 2022, Nandi County Health Executive Member Ms. Ruth Koech underscored the importance of such events, noting that they bring health services closer to the people.
“We want to appreciate KMTC and its partners for not just being a trainer but bringing solutions to our people,” she said.
“We encourage residents with dental issues to take advantage of the free clinic,” she added.
The beneficiaries of the free dental camp could not hide their smiles.
“I have been struggling with dental pain for more than six months. Finally, I will have it fixed. I thank KMTC,” said Peter Kipkirui, a beneficiary.
KMTC offers 18 need-based programmes for solving emerging and re-emerging health challenges.
Among them are Dental Technology and Community Oral Health, imparting students with skills to offer dental services.
