90th Graduation Ceremony
Ninety-four years since the College opened its doors, the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) held its 90th Graduation Ceremony on a cold morning on December 2, 2021. The occasion brought together the KMTC Board of Directors, Management, Graduands, Staff, Students, invited guests and members of the public to celebrate the key milestone in the lives of 5,150 fresh new graduates.
As if to confirm that indeed this chapter of their lives was coming to an end and the next great chapter beginning, the heavens opened up to usher the newly minted health professionals into this next chapter. In the African context, rain symbolizes blessings, and my oh my! did it rain during the graduation ceremony.
The College thanks all stakeholders who made the ceremony a resounding success. Special thanks to the day’s Chief Guest, Health Principal Secretary Ms. Susan Mochache who braved the rain to preside over the ceremony. Thank you to our invited guests who honored our invitation and joined us either physically or virtually. To the Graduation Steering committee and sub-committees that worked tirelessly to make the day colorful in spite of the rain, we extend a hand of gratitude.
To our dear Graduates, once again we express our hearty congratulations on this key milestone in your lives. The days ahead present an opportunity for you to put the invaluable skills you have gained at the College into practice. We are confident that you will bring to the working world, the same dedication and commitment you brought to your training.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
