KMTC named among top 100 best in ICT innovation in Africa

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), a leader in mid-level health training in Kenya and beyond, has been named among the top 100 best companies in ICT innovation in Africa at the 13th edition of the Africa CIO100 Awards.

The College was handed a prestigious silver award in the public service category in an event held at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort in Mombasa on November 19, 2021.

While announcing the award to KMTC staff and stakeholders, Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kelly Oluoch congratulated the ICT Division for scaling up innovative concepts in the College.

“It is through such initiatives that the College has revolutionized its teaching and learning,” he said.

Adding that: “The award is a demonstration of teamwork and College’s commitment to embracing modern technologies in enhancing service delivery.”

KMTC was named alongside East African Breweries, Consolidated Bank of Africa, Jubilee Life Insurance LTD, Kenafric Industries Ltd, Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Little Rides, Longhorn Publishers Plc, M.P Shah Hospital, Ngao Credit LTD, Olpejeta Conservancy, Safaricom PLC Kenya, among others.

The Chief Information Officers (CIO) Awards reveres successful and outstanding individuals and organizations that have achieved milestones in the course of service delivery.

Organizations are measured on their ability to deliver business value whether through the optimization of business processes, enablement of growth, strengthening of relationships with customers or creating competitive advantage.
