KMTC tree planting project

KMTC tree planting project

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is targeting to plant more than 10, 000 trees this rainy season as part of creating “green corridors” across its Campuses.

The College is banking on tree planting to promote a conducive and serene learning environment.

According to the Acting CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch the project once concluded will see the population of trees improve.

He noted that the College through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives will continue to expand partnerships in an effort to promote forest cover in the country.

“This season alone we have received a batch of 5, 000 seedlings from Equity Foundation. We are expecting to receive an additional 5, 000 in coming weeks,” he said.

Dr. Oluoch challenged students and staff to prioritize tree planting.
