KMTC student makes debut for Africa Hockey Junior Championship in Egypt

Oscar Kiptoo Kibet, a student at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) becomes the youngest College player to make his debut at the Africa Hockey Junior Championship.

The Port Reitz Campus student was selected to represent Kenya in the Junior Africa Cup qualifier tournament held in Ismailia, Egypt, between March 11th and 19th, 2023.

Besides pursuing a Diploma in Kenya Registered Nurse, Mental Health, and Psychiatry, Kibet has always had a passion for hockey since he was a young boy.

Today, he has become a star player for the Jaguar Hockey Club in the National Premier League.

Despite the pressure of playing at an international level, he has remained focused and determined in his endeavors.

He says his selection was a huge honor, and he knew he had to work even harder to help his team succeed.

KMTC is proud to have Kibet representing the country, and we look forward to seeing him achieve even greater success in the future.
