College participates in the Homa Bay International Investment Conference

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) actively participated in the 2nd Homa Bay International Investment Conference held at Tom Mboya University in Homa Bay County.

The three-day event, which kicked off on February 27, 2024, served as a significant platform for the convergence of ideas and opportunities, aiming to foster advancements in health and spur economic growth.

The presence of H.E. President Dr. William Ruto highlighted the government’s commitment to prioritizing healthcare.

The President underscored the importance of collaboration between public and private partners, emphasizing investments in healthcare infrastructure and policies prioritizing citizens’ well-being.

President Ruto expressed pride in the transformative efforts of Community Health promoters, recognizing their role in advancing healthcare across the country.

He also mentioned nearing public participation in regulations for universal health coverage.

Key figures, including Governors James Orengo (Siaya), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay), Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Cecily Mbarire (Embu), U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman, KMTC Board Chairperson Mr. Joseah K. Cheruiyot, and CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch visited the KMTC booth. They witnessed student demonstrations from various cadres.

The conference emphasized the improvement of health infrastructure and the necessity of partnerships to enhance the country’s economy.
